ICS SEMINAR – AusGrain 2013

The AusGrain 2013 charter-party was developed by Grain Trade Australia (GTA) primarily to serve the grain trade of Australia, following the demise of the Australian Wheat Board.  Geoff Farnsworth, the Director of GTA and a member of the GTA Export Arbitration Pane,ldiscusses the issues and related matters that led to the development of the new charter-party and compares its clauses to the exisiting charter parties.

Geoff Farnsworth is a Director of M+K Lawyers, one of the largest commercial law firms in Australia specialising in the mid-market.  He has over 20 years’ experience in transport and commodities law in Australia and the UK, acting for businesses engaged in the transport and supply of goods and commodities and their insurers, both domestically and internationally.  He is also a former President of the Australian Institute of Export, and the former Chair of the Sea Freight Council of New South Wales.
